'English Learning Holidays in New Zealand' offer a homestay with an English teacher on a farmlet in the delightful village of Patumahoe which is situated in the heart of market garden country. We are 45 minutes from Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. (1 hour by train)
Transfers are included to/from Auckland airport/Pukekohe railway station/Bombay coach stop - north or southbound.
English tuition is 1:1 - a total immersion into the language with 15 hours formal study each week and conversation thereafter each day. All levels are taught and the teacher is a fully qualified ESOL teacher with 13 years experience. Local trips are organised for most afternoons. Any entrance fees are paid by the student.The trips include - a private rescue zoo, souvenir shopping, white and black sand beaches, boat trip to Manukau Heads, historic Waiuku township, steam train ride and farm park (Oct-June), Waiuku forest, water lily gardens, Awhitu Pensinsula and more...
The student accommodation is self-contained and 3 meals a day are provided.
There is a twin and single room so a group of 3 students could be accommodated if you are travelling with friends.
The farmlet runs a few sheep - 2 of which are tame so you can feed and stroke them !
