Places to Stay Things to Do Annfield Flowers Country Homestay |
Annfield, originally built in 1866, has around 17 acres of ground, of which five acres have been converted to the commercial growing of flowers, mainly gentians and lilacs.
The rest is still in pasture with alpacas and coloured sheep. The house has been renovated, from foundations to roof, with the old character being kept and the convenience of modern facilities added. The garden is still being developed.
There are a dog and a couple of cats around. They have only limited access to the house.
There is good trout fishing - in season - an easy distance away. We are just over 1 km from the Southern Scenic Route, west of Invercargill, signposted to Waianiwa/Drummond. |
