Places to Stay Things to Do Topgate B&B |
Our Beef property is situated in the 'lakes district' on the Atherton Tablelands, 900m (2700ft) above sea level. We fatten cattle for the beef industry and use Lithgow and Border Collie dogs to control and educate the herd. Guests are welcome to participate in farming activities including herding the cattle with dogs. The property is on a ridge with spectacular views of the hills, rainforest and our two creeks and dams.
The cottage itself is modern and spacious. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen, microwave, colour TV, large automatic washing machine, linen and barbecue. Native birds are to be seen in the surrounding bush. Aquatic life, including platypus, can be observed on the creeks and dams. Many attractions are close by. Energetic guests can go for walks, the rest can immerse themselves in the 'peaceful, idyllic, pastoral lifestyle'. Enjoy!
Ideal as a base to tour the Atherton Tablelands. |
