Other sumptuous meals may be arranged by request. Gourmet lamb is Judy's speciality, complimented with fresh produce from the kitchen garden or grown locally.
Farm tours are available with Donald if you wish to encounter Hawkes Bay from a different perspective. Donald is a past winner of Hawkes Bay Farmer of the year and holds a Commercial Pilot's Licence. Enjoy a touch of our Scottish heritage with Mac, the Scottish terrier.
Situated just five minutes from Waipukurau, Mangatarata is one of Hawkes Bay's most historic sheep stations. The second to be established in the entire province. (1851) and is still a working farm of 2,500 acres. The 1897 homestead and established gardens create unforgettable ambience. The garden was featured in a national magazine in Nov 2000.
Farm walks, swimming, good fishing, golfing, and Hawkes Bay's excellent wineries nearby. Visit Art Deco Napier, or take a picnic to one of the local beaches. Judy and Donald are members of the Hawkes Bay Wine Country Food Group.
