Nelson is New Zealand's sunniest city.. its laidback style has produced activities to appeal to everyone. We are very happy to help you arrange your stay either when you arrive or before you leave home. There is so much to see and do here you should try to allow more than 1 day! We can also book rental cars for you if you wish. Our lovely garden is filled with roses, lavender, wisteria.. plus one of New Zealand's oldest pre-historic Cycad Revoluta palms graces the front garden.. a Notable Tree. In the garden are many corners and courtyards either sunny or shady for you to relax in or you may prefer the guest sittingroom or spacious porches/verandahs and its fine to smoke there. We serve wonderful breakfasts which include homemade bread, jams and marmalades and local fresh and homebottled fruits organic if possible.. if you are a muesli fan you'll love Lynne's homemade variety and our coffee has been noted in the Guestcomments as "the best in South Island" but you won't be forgotten if you like Tea as we have at least 10 varieties. Breakfast at Grove Villa is often like a party with 10 or 12 guests swapping travel stories and relaxing. But if that's not for you, you may take breakfast in the courtyard or in your room. We've been travelling ourselves and know the sort of things that can make a difference to your stay. You will fell very relaxed and at home at Grove Villa whether for 1 night or 1week.. one guest came for 3 nights and stayed for 3 weeks!!
