Maryglen is the base from which we go exploring the great West Coast. Each day tours can be arranged by request for guests. The West Coast has a wide range of choices, including historical gold relics, native bush walks, adventure tourism as well as more sedate activities like picnicing beside picturesque lakes. In addition to custom tours for individual guests, we also offer five day tours.

• Woods Creek - a 1km loop walk through Chinese gold mining history- workings, tunnels tailraces.
• Point Elizabeth  - a 6 km walk through podcarp forest across a headland.

• Coal Creek -  A 30 min walk through bush to picturesque falls.
• Bain Bay -  A walk following the shores of Lake Brunner

We personally collect you from your home and take a leisurely trip back to Greymouth, enjoying refreshments en route, and experiencing the new viaduct and other scenic wonders. Five days later, return options include the very comfortable Coast to Coast bus or a ride on the Tranz Alpine train for a fascinating and different route to Christchurch. Whether it is a tailor made tour of the many attractions of the West Coast, or a relaxing meal sitting on the deck, we look forward to making your stay a memorable experience.
