We are on very beachfront on the sand dunes of 90 mile beach. Our 1 bedroom fully furnished cottage is cosy & private with a sun deck outdoor hot/cold shower where you may also bring your pets. Our lodge is also private with 2 double rooms, king/queen beds, ensuites and home comforts, extensive decks give you 'as-far-as-the-eye-can-see' views, indoor/outdoor dining, home cooked meals, (seafood is our specialty), outdoor spa, communal lounge, fire place, and awesome sunsets, real New Zealand (Kiwi) care, knowledge and hospitality. The Retreat is an historic farmhouse, built 1867. Surrounded by one acre of landscaped gardens. Small sheepfarm with pet sheep. Weaving studio and shop with goods made from our own sheep's wool.

The hostshare bed and breakfast homestay is on a native forest wildlife protected property here in the Far North of New Zealand. Onsite interests include short guided treks on the property that show the varying range of flora, including a 400 year old (circa) kauri tree and many types of ferns. Seasonal native orchids abound and images from Te Ngahere Iti are currently being displayed on the NZ Native Orchids website.
