We are five minutes drive from the centre of Wellington (a half-hour easy walk) and ten minutes from the airport and ferry terminals. We are on the public bus route (bus stop outside the house), and also offer secure off-street parking for guests. Just above central Newtown, we are very close to Wellington Hospital, Massey University and the NZ School of Dance and Drama. Genuine hospitality in a friendly private home. Originally from England, we enjoy travel and meeting people. Bridget is a weaver/feltmaker and often has her one-off products for sale. Jim is a desultory woodworker. Our backgrounds are teaching and agriculture machinery - guess who did which!

The Waikanae Estuary Scientific Reserve is, home to over 63 species of birds (at some time during the year), many of these can be seen in their natural and native habitats during a bird tour with Mik Peryer.
Mik offers his services as a Tour Guide around the Estuary; and he also presents very interesting and informative talks about the Waikanae Estuary Birdlife for a range of audiences.
