The Queen bedroom is on the mezzanine floor, with the twin bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, lounge & private outdoor area below.
Pininoa Chalet B&B, is purpose designed & is built entirely of N.Z. native timbers, it is warm & spacious & everything is provided for your comfort, including, firm beds & fluffy goose down comforters (non allergenic available if required)
Pininoa Chalet is set in a private tranquil garden adjourning our unique private native bush, where you are welcome to stroll at you leisure.


Location

Our property is a 50-acre rural property, is mainly Native Bush with a few sheep & our free-range chooks, situated midway between Greymouth and Reefton on State Highway 7 and is handy to the wild West Coast, Lake Brunner & Arthur’s Pass
Our property is organic & we grow most of our meat, vegetables & eggs.
Tariff includes a breakfast Basket that includes fresh homemade bread & our free-range eggs & is delivered to your Chalet in the evening, so you can breakfast at your leisure.
Being our only guests your privacy is assured. You are welcome to join us for a walk, a chat, or a drink, or just relax in your private Chalet & enclosed garden.

Pininoa is not suitable for kiddies & is a NON smoking property

Allow yourselves to relax and unwind at Birds Ferry Lodge or in one of our luxury cottages on our 33 acre property. Along with the native birdlife, you will fine yourselves surrounded by nature in an exceptionally tranquil spot.
Step onto the deck from your room and enjoy the ocean sunset from the heated spa. Or take a break in the luxuriously appointed guest lounge in front of the log fire.
Privately accessed accommodation is ensuite with bath and shower. Lodge Tariff includes refreshments, laundry, internet and cooked breakfast served at a time to suite you. Purpose built disabled/wheelchair access. Individually prepared dinners are our speciality
Close by there are numerous coastal and forest walks. 10 minutes away take the Charleston Nile River Forest train. 30 minutes away is Punakaiki . Day trips from here include Haephy track, Karamea, Oparara Arches, Maruia thermal springs and historic Denniston.

Okarito offers beach walks, sunsets, rainforests, brown kiwi and some of the best views of Mts Cook and Tasman on the West Coast. It is twenty-five minutes from Franz Josef Glacier. We also offer quiet boat tours on Okarito Lagoon, NZ's largest unmodified wetland, personally guided by Ian James, a retired scientist. These provide superb opportunities to discuss the local environment, photography and birdwatching, including white herons. We are both actively involved in the conservation of this special area.
