Amersham House is being relocated to the ridge in Remuera. The new location is a 1920's Nathan family home which will be renovated during 2006. Guests will enjoy the quite location with sea view. Welcome to Jacaranda Cottage, our new architecturally designed home a few metres from the Sandspit estuary. The views are magnificent and so close that you will feel part of the panorama. Sandspit is 6km from Warkworth, a picturesque town, one hour north of Auckland. The local area provides opportunities for sightseeing and relaxation, including restaurants, vineyards, art galleries etc. We are a few minutes walk from the Sandspit wharf where boats leave for Kawau Island. There are bush walks and the swimming is great. We have a fully, self-contained unit with a Queen-sized bed. Our other rooms are a double bedroom and one with two single beds. We have a border collie dog, Jess. In front of our house is moored our catamaran. We will take you fishing or sightseeing by arrangement.

Braemar on Parliament Street is a unique Bed and Breakfast establishment, being the only Edwardian townhouse in the Auckland Central Business District still used as a residence. Built in 1901, it has been lovingly restored but with the addition of up to the minute technology for comfort and convenience.
It's the title shot in Geoff Murphy’s Kiwi classic movie "Goodbye Pork Pie". Our Kauri staircase dazzled in Don Selwyn’s beautiful film "Maori Merchant of Venice". Where flyer Jean Batten's father Fred had his apartment upstairs is now our main guest suite.
Upstairs in the "Batten Suite", a guest suite of three rooms, the bedroom is furnished with antique furniture and a queen size "posturepaedic" bed, separate tiled shower and toilet. The third room in the suite is a private lounge with heritage open fireplace, the couch folding out to sleep two when required. We also have two guest-rooms that share the original big bathroom.
All guestrooms have internet access. All our bathrooms have restored old style large clawfoot baths and separate stand-alone tiled showers, served by continuous hot water gas burners. Heat lamps warm these areas as fans extract the steam. All toiletries are complimentary and we endeavour to offer the finest New Zealand made products available.
Breakfasts are made to order in our stainless steel chef's kitchen and served either in the adjacent dining-room or out on the north facing deck.
