Stanley's Hanlon House Bed and BreakfastCentrally located in the historic township of Stanley, Hanlon House is one of Tasmania's great finds in a 4.5 star (AAA accredited) accommodation. Hanlon House offers magnificent views from the verandahs to the NUT - the landmark of Stanley and to HIGHFIELD ESTATE, the beginnings of Stanley and over Godfrey's beach. Woolly Butt BungalowENJOY A RELAXED ATMOSPHERE NESTLED AMONGST THE GUM TREES [WOOLLY BUTTS]. A Woolly Butt is actually a native Tasmanian tree a.k.a alpine ash, eucalyptus longifolia. You can find many examples of these of the premises as well as a few other Woolly Butts on your drive into town as there is one of the east coasts oldest sheep stations on the edge of town named GLEN COE. Sleep under the stars through the many skylights in your Bungalow. You will be in awe of our pristine white beach and native wildlife - A birdwatchers paradise, backing onto Henderson's lagoon. | |

All the watercolour paintings hanging on the wall in the bungalow are works by a local renowned artist BEV GREIG and are available for sale. The bungalow is constructed of mud bricks and 100-year-old timber and windows using old world construction methods. You will find a bird watching tower west of the main dwelling; feel free to use it at any time, as there is an abundance of wild life on the property. Without a doubt Scamander shop has the best fish and chips on the coast, and if you're feeling up to it you can take a leisurely stroll along our fabulous beach all the way there (approx 75 min walk each way). |
