A warm welcome to Taihape, where we are situated on top of the hill with panoramic views of Mt. Ruapehu, the Ruahines and extensive farming country. Warmth and comfort is a feature in tranquil surroundings for instant relaxation. The entire section - three-quarters-of-an-acre - has been landscaped with shrubs, hydroponic and orchid houses, and a large area planted in chrysanthemums. Dinner and lunch are available on request and almost all types of meals are available. Meals with hosts using our home grown produce - cooking is a hobby. Separate toilet and bathroom available for guests. Farm visits, tramping, rafting, fishing, bunjee jumping and jet boating can be arranged and most are within 1/2 hour. One hour to Ruapehu (skiing), one hour to Lake Taupo, 2 1/2 hours to Rotorua or Wellington, 40 minutes to Titoki Point and other well known gardens. Noel has retired from the farm to horticulture and Pat teaches.
